Denico Denver Trades out of First Round...twice.

so Denver traded out of the first round not once, but twice. What do you think? I think it was a great move by them. the players they want would be available in the 2nd and they didn't reach while stockpiling picks. Unlike McD who would have traded 8 picks to move up one spot to take a Fullback.

It's always good to move back if the guys you like aren't available. I think a good second round would be to pick up Coby Fleener and Devon Still. This year's crop of RBs is not that impressive and they can add a guy or two in later rounds. The next highest rated CBs on the list (Jenkins and Johnson) have character issues and there is some quality in the later rounds for that position.

It was a good move to trade down, as I felt the defensive talent that Denver needed was falling right to them. Love the Wolfe pick, but scratching my head a bit about the rest of it. I realize the defense has been better, but I would have liked to see them add a little more bulk there.

And Osweiler? I really think giving Peyton another TE weapon would have made sense, or just a receiver overall.

Can't say I love what they did, but also didn't hate it.

Mostly, I want to thank them for giving us the opportunity to jump ahead of the Giants for Doug Martin.

I'm not a big Osweiler fan. He's huge and a very good athlete, particularly given his size, but he doesn't seem to have a lot of touch on his throws and has a screwy delivery IMO. Haven't seen enough from him to believe he will suceed in the league but we shall see. Learning by Peyton could be valuable.

Any tall QB has a screwy delivery, it's just because we aren't used to seeing it like that...

But, I still don't like the Brock pick, it was a reach a pick and it's obvious now they don't see Peyton starting 3+ years from now, why else would they draft a QB this high?
