That seems a little steep, but they did take full responsibility. It sucks to be the Rams though. Now they have to find an interim DC. Personally, I would just cut ties with Williams and get a new DC altogether.

An interim DC? Williams was suspended INDEFINITELY. They gave Sean Payton a year long suspension, I think it's safe to assume Williams may never be allowed to return or at the very least will be handed a suspension longer than Paytons. Finding a new DC is the Rams' only real option here.

I want to see the penalty for the players involved ... currently I still don't think these punishments are enough... would Sean still have a job without that super bowl ring?

Do you always have to be so obtuse? I am well aware Williams was suspended indefinitely, however, when the article came out, it said he would be able to apply for reinstatement after the season. Subsequent articles have said Fisher will be part of a committee that runs the defense. Fisher and Williams have been friends for a long time, so it's not improbable that Fisher could wait for the outcome of Williams' application for reinstatement after this season to determine where he goes next. Finding a new DC isn't the only REAL option, it's the most logical one.

You won't see penalties for the players involved unless they admitted to it. Intent is going to be awfully hard to prove in this case.

This I figure, but from what I've read on PFT the league does have evidence on multiple players involved... I don't know if they are going after a player if they actually injured someone, or if they are going after the players who were said by multiple sources to put money in the 'pot' for games... Vilma's ridiculous $10,000 on Favre and another player had $5,000 on Aaron Rodgers...

I really feel Sean Payton should be suspended indefinitely as well, with further review a year or two later from now. Everything involved is sickening if you care at all about humans and life. To promote $$$ rewards to injure and potentially permanently damage another players body part, then cover it up, lie and continue to run it. That behavior belongs AS FAR AWAY FROM professional sports as possible.

Even as a player in that system.. how could you live with yourself trying to intentionally hurt someone? I seriously believe they have no thought for life and how theirs could end in a second, and they don't even realize that.
