Texans trade Demeco Ryans to the Eagles

Apparently the Eagles got Demeco Ryans for a 4th rounder and swapping of 3rd rounders or something like that.

If you ask me the Eagles got over pretty good on this one. They really needed a MLB, and they just got one hell of a LB that's a great leader which is exactly what they need. Demeco is 2nd round material for a team that really needs a strong MLB.

I can't say i'm unhappy about it. We needed a MLB and Demeco is one of the best in the business, I love the guy. Great fire, great attitude, physical play in the middle, I think he's exactly what Philly needs.

I agree with Tex though, I think Philly got over on Houston here. Demeco is worth much more than Philly gave up. I'm sure his value was a bit down after his slow recovery from his injury two seasons ago and the fact that he didn't fit well in Houston's 3-4 but they still should have received more here.

Yeah, I honestly think that if the Eagles would have given up a 2nd rounder it would have been a strong move. Demeco Ryans at MLB would be better than drafting an unproven rookie in the 2nd or something. A guy who is a leader on top of being good. Instead, you guys got this guy for a 4th rounder and a swap in the 3rd. Good deal for you guys. I think that Demeco Ryans is going to be really good over there.

Agree on all counts. I fell Ryans is a better suited 4-3 MLB than a 3-4 ILB, therefore his value to the Texans was lower than it should have been otherwise. Sounds like a great deal for Philly.

The Eagles made out like bandits on this one. I've been high on this guy since college, he wants to win and goes all out every down. Fun to watch as well, wish instead of re-signing Tulloch the Lions would've went after Demeco since he was on the market
