    Quick help

Ok so in my league everyone is put on waivers once games start on Sunday and stay there until thursday morning. I have the #2 waiver priority right now cuz I drafted 11th. I want to keep my priority high so I could be the one to swoop in and get a midseason splash type of player.

Question is, does Dexter McCluster qualify? As of now I put a claim in for him and I'll probably get him. Should I maybe get Thomas jones instead? or just stand pat and go with what I have. I'm currently 2-0 and second in total points.

McCluster qualifies as a WR and a RB on ESPN. Even though theres no WR/RB flex spot, I could potentially start 3 RB's.

Thomas Jones would probably be a safer bet. He's get 20-25 touches. McCluster is more of a big play guy. He may get 10-15 touches a game but he has more potential to get a long TD either rushing or receiving. But again, Jones gives you a steady, reliable week-to-week value. Where McCluster may get you 5 points for 2 or 3 straight weeks and then bust out for a 25 or 30 point game.

In most leagues the only way to stay near the top in the waiver order is to have a crappy record and not score a lot of points. You don't want to be high in the waiver wire.

In our league the waiver priority is like a waiting list. I'll stay high on the list until I use it. Then I'll drop to 12th.

I'm still debating. I think they'll split fairly even between them.

Maybe I should just wait and pick someone else up down the line?

I'd probably wait. Kansas City's offense has looked pretty awful, maybe they right the ship later on. I contend that we won't see quality football until week 5 or 6 because of the lockout. I think at that point teams will be in better conditioning and will have been acclimated more to the new play calls and such.
