What could this say about Kolb and the debacle that has followed him being drafted 4 years ago? I'll have something to say about that issue soon.

I don't agree with this. Kolb was their guy from the start and him playing for one half shouldn't lose his job.
Reid is in a no win situation though.

Yeah, but then why did Reid feel that Kolb was the better guy to go with in the first place after months of practice and training camp? Obviously he felt that Kolb was the guy then. One bad half shouldn't have changed everything that much. I understand that Vick is playing well and all, but I think he needs to stick Kolb back in there and see if he can play well. I think Vick might be the better short term answer here, but Kolb is probably the better long term answer. I doubt that Philly will consider Vick to become their future.
Because Vick wasn't "back" yet for lack of a better term. Reid has stated a few times in his press conferences today that nobody really foresaw Vick coming back and playing at the level that he is. Choosing Kolb after the way Vick looked last season was a pretty easy choice but after the way Vick has played this year throughout preseason and now into the regular season if Kolb isn't looking stellar then it makes that choice more difficult. Vick has like a 105 passer rating right now, like 4th in the NFL. He's performing in the redzone, which the team hasn't done well in years. He's being a playmaker and the team appears to be responding to him. The question is, what has Reid seen of Kolb to lead him to believe he's the better choice?

I didn't read the article yet but has Kolb been cleared to play?
Man, we need to merge these threads, because we have the same conversation going on in the other thread about the QB controversy. If the mods could merge these, it would be appreciated.
Phil, go to that other thread. I left you a nice response there. I'd be saying the same stuff all over again. Also, I'm about to post some of Reid's comments about his decision in there.

Actually I disagree there. And thats going to be part of my reveal later. I don't believe Andy made that decision, he was very vocaly against it when the trade rumors started popping up and then one day he just shut up very abruptly. I think that decision was made above Andy's head by a front office experiencing a shift in personnel to a new GM looking for a new direction. Reid was pressured into utilizing and selling us Kolb.
