I'll agree that last year was a little overboard, because it seemed the Jets and Broncos and others were ALWAYS wearing their throwbacks. But it was the the AFL tribute, and I'll live with it because I thought it was a great gesture from the NFL.

Over the next five years, we'll probably see these Packers jerseys maybe 3 times, and almost certainly no more than once a year. I can live with that. I can live with the Eagles once every couple years. Right now, the Bucs are going creamsicle once a year, and I'm sure the only reason TEX isn't complaining about those is because he can still remember them. Still, they look nothing like the current look for the Bucs, just like those Packer ones.

I'm fine with it, in limitation.
Yeah, I like those Bucs jerseys. That was what they had for a long freaking time when Testaverde was there. I can still associate that with the Bucs even more than the new Bucs uniforms.

Sorry, but wearing old school uniforms from the 50's when the NFL was still in it's early stages and they didn't even hardly have the abilities to make nicer jersey's that stood out is just silly. I don't want to see teams wearing uniforms that look like practice jerseys. It makes me feel like I'm watching a different team, and it gets annoying throughout the game. It's distracting and it's just a poor idea.

Oh, yeah and those awful looking Eagles ones that they wore. Add that to the list. Those looked awful. Made the entire team look stupid.

The eyes of Texas are upon you.

    LOL!

Well personally I like it when teams wear these old throwbacks. The newer throwbacks that Tex is talking about are nice to see too because they remind me of my childhood growing up watching these teams in what I consider a classic jersey. I also believe though that history should not be forgotten and should be honored. Just because a team has a different look now doesn't mean that their accomplishments back in the day should be forgotten and not honored. The Eagles are wearing their 60's throwbacks this year to celebrate their last championships. They're easily associated with the team because they're green and the helmet still had the wings but they're still different. To me its refreshing to see these teams honor their history by wearing something that looks radically different than what we're used to. It shows that the NFL isn't as uptight and rigid as some of these other sports leagues are like MLB who is so obsessed with tradition that it doesn't allow them to adapt and try anything new or do anything fun. Last season it got to be a little much with the teams wearing these throwbacks so often but that was due to the AFL anniversary celebration so i'm OK with it. It was only 1 year, and in a normal year these teams only wear these old throwbacks 1 game per season which is well within acceptable ranges for me.

The year the Eagles wore those blue and yellow throwbacks that everyone hated it was the teams 75th anniversary. Those were the jerseys they wore 75 years ago. I thought it was very appropriate for them to wear them that year and they haven't worn them since.

It doesn't give me anything to associate with the Lakers. I hated seeing the NY Jets when they wore theirs the last two seasons. I felt like I was watching the Steelers the entire game. It made the Jets look like a joke.

Perhaps, for a Texans fan in Houston, those uni's are a mockery. But I'm almost certain that Packer fans don't feel that way, especially Packer fans who may be a little older than you or I and vividly remember this look.

I'm completely with Phil here, I think it's a great way to honor tradition. If all you're worried about is visual appeal, then obviously this isn't for you. But yeah, definitely keep the throwbacks and alternates in limitations.

    Double

    Trouble!

Williams showed signs of slowing down late last year so I do not expect a strong run game here either. They lost some great players on D and did very little to fill those voids. This just does not look like a typical BP team.
