I don't get it. What is it exactly that Rivers does better than any other QB in the league?

Well...what exactly has Arron Rodgers done to deserve all of his hype?

I mean that kid's being talked about like he's already a Top 5 QB and the Packers might be the team to beat in the NFC(at least in some circles).

Rivers is a darn good QB. I dont' get why all this hate is being spewed his way. He wins. He puts up #'s. And the guy has one of those "F-YOU" attitudes that people seem to like.

And keep in mind I voted for Brees too.

    From one #88 to another...

I'm more talking to the minority of people rating him ABOVE Brees/Brady than the majority who have him below them. Its odd to me that "Who is better Brees or Rivers" is even a debate at this point if you take out age. If age were left in then there would be something to talk about. I would understand if we were debating whether Rivers were in the top 5 QB's, but there's no way he cracks the top three. I'd be equally baffled if I noticed people saying Aaron Rogers was better than Manning/Brady/Brees.

What is there not to get? The question is who do you want or think is better.

You can only make it complicated if you want to

Did you watch any of the Packers games last season?? Rodgers carried his team all season long and in the playoffs put up almost 50 points in their loss. He was money all season long in the 4th quarter. He's only played in two seasons and in his first season he threw for 28 TD's and improved those stats last season lowering his INT's and having the lowest # of INT's in the league last season under the worst pass blocking lines in the league. I can't believe that you would even ask that question honestly.

And not one person has spewed any hate at Phillip Rivers in this thread. We've all just discussed several reasons how ridiculous it is to put him over Tom Brady who is a multi SB winner and a HOF. THe arguments put forth have been very poor and have been based on one season alone where it was arguable at best as to who had the better season. It's nothing against Rivers, but it's against the notion that he would even be considered to be ranked higher than Tom Brady.

Let's see if someone ranks Jake Delhomme above Tony Romo on a chart like this and I'll gladly like to hear your reaction.

The eyes of Texas are upon you.

What more do you want to see of Rodgers? He's started two seasons now and has looked excellent in those two seasons considering how it was his first two years to play. He's been a hell of a lot better than what Phillip Rivers was in his first two years. Rodgers was equally as good as Brees and Manning were last season. He's only had one playoff game to play in thus far, and he put up almost 50 points in that game, so that's not really a loss in my eyes. I'd have loved to have seen what he could have done against the Cowboys who he had beaten last year in the regular season. Other than Tom Brady, I don't think there has been a QB that's played as well as Aaron Rodgers this early in his career as far as a starter in a very long time especially when you consider how poor his O line was last season. Rodgers is going to put up big numbers for a very long time.

The eyes of Texas are upon you.

Made a mistake and voted Rivers and i dont know why.

To me Brees is on par with Brady, manning ahead of those 2 and then below them you have a group of guys who rivers falls with.

But thinking Rivers is better then any of the top 3 is laughable to me.

Rodgers by far lead the NFL in down field passes last year, behind a terrible oline no less, and yet still managed to only throw 7 picks. If you're basing it on skill level, there is a very legitimate argument that he's a top 5 QB.

As far as this thread, I voted Brees. No knock on Rivers, but as I mentioned in the other thread, Brees is second to none at the moment.

Wow you are WAY too emotionally involved in this.

It might be slightly crazy to rank Rivers above Brady...and I won't disagree with that.

But to to use the comparison of putting Delhomme above Romo is just flat out ridiculous and childish. You could at least use a more realistic one like Rodgers/Cutler/Sean Ryan over Romo.

At least Rivers is a Top 10 QB, and there can be debate, albeit not a great one, about Rivers right now over Brady...

BTW, I'm not agreeing with Steven, just saying that ya'll are making way too much of this, and his explanation of his list being for this year, and not having to compare their past numbers is all.

That was just ridiculous...you could find a better way to prove your point than that

As for Rodgers...with EVERYTHING ya'll have said in a negative way about Rivers, and you want to hype Rodgers up? Look at Rivers record in December games(an NFL Record I believe), and at least he's won playoff games...he has more skins on the wall, just like Brady does over Rivers. You can't have the arguement going both ways.

What I"m saying, is that if people are going to be all over Rodgers nuts already(and I think he's good, but putting him in the top 5 already is a reach IMO, at least not yet) and to downplay Rivers is just as ridiculous as ya'll seem to think SDSteven is doing.

    From one #88 to another...
