Sfico Crabtree to reportedly reopen talks

Sources: Michael Crabree to talk to San Francisco 49ers - ESPN

Apparently a 3-1 start coupled with yesterday's blowout has Michael Crabtree reconsidering.

Don't do it San Fran! Offer him chump change now!

I really hope that they lower their offer quite a bit. He shouldn't get near what they offered a while back. At this point, I'd much rather see Crabtree try and re-enter the draft and really lose out, so this kind of crap doesn't ever happen again.

But then again if Crabtree acts in any way like I've heard and since he's obviously a few seeds short of a watermelon, I sort of wouldn't mind seeing and hearing some Singletary melt downs directed at Crabtree.

I'd love to see the 9ers tell him to **** off, but both parties lose in that situation. They'll get nothing out of their Top 10 draft pick that they "earned" last season if they don't sign him.

I'd really really like to see Crabtree land on the Rams somehow with no QB.

I'm guessing they tell him to take the $20 million and that's their final offer.

all I know is the 49ers have all the leverage

crabtree is a fool for not taking the money, I mean unless he's doing this for principal (because he won't get #7 money next year), in which case it would be even more foolish

If he does sign, which I guess Deion Sanders said he will, I hope the 49ers bench him for the rest of the season.

I would LOVE to weigh in on Crabtee, so im going to

I work in construction, im a super intendant and i build resturaunts. For those of you living under a rock our economy has gone to absolute crap and the construction industry might of been hit the hardest, alot of very good people i know are losing their jobs and companys, and even worse their homes and everything they own. Its very scary out there and i find myself up late worrying alot about what might happen to me if i dont find more work.

With that said, i dont know how many millions of dollars Crabtree was offerd to play football, but im sure if enough for someone like myself with my lifestyle to probably never have to work again.'

To say im offended by Crabtree's whole "i want to get paid more than i should be paid" approach would be putting it nicely. I think hes a joke, and a bad one at that. Get in the real world man, look whats going on around you. I honestly hope he reenters the draft next year and falls to the 2nd-3rd round, then breaks his leg on the first play of his career, he is an insult to every working man in this country. (sorry for being so harsh but every week he misses just makes me more mad) I hope 49er fans dont ever embrace him, because they shouldnt, hes an insult to their team, hes an insult to everything that your great coach preaches and stands for, hes an insult to anyone who ever had to buck up and go to a dead end job that they absolutely hated for minimum wage to put a semi hot plate of food on the table for themselves and their loved ones.

I understand there is alot of money in football, i understand that you should get all that you can. But for a rookie who has never taken a snap at a position like WR where the success rate for rookies is not very high he has gone way to far.

The 49ers dont need him, they are a very good team right now. And i think it has alot to do with Mike's no nonesense team first approach, its very old school and i appreciate everything he stands for. I think Crabtree could use a wake up call, get humble.

< ^> <^> crabtree, your a joke, and i wish you the absolute worse.

    Rant over and im out.

I won't say I want Crabtree to get hurt but I do hope he is forced to work in the real world at some point.

The sad thing is he has no legitimate reason for doing this, he is just getting awful advice.
