What are they feeding that kid?

That's the question that my wife posed last night as we watched our nephew playing in a seventh grade football game. The opposing team brought out a player that must have been 6'2" and about 200 pounds......I kid you not. I thought maybe they should check his birth certificate to make sure he wasn't too old to be playing. They put him in at RT and I'm surprised they didn't run behind him on every play. Sorry, no pics, but trust me, he was huge for a seventh grader.

Maybe they realized the unfair advantage and chose not to run behind him to keep it close. either that or he'd a big dope and very uncoordinated

I'm not sure what suprised is, but it's probably because I'm a hilarious guy who makes genius quips such as that all the time.

It was a joke Hawk, lighten up.

When I was in 7th grade, I met a kid that was on my friend's rec league basketball team. He was a year below us, a 6th grader. 6'7'' tall ... no joke... I met him at a Clippers game, he looked like he belonged on their bench. I don't know how much he weighed but I imagine it was around 200 lbs. He was skinny, but not ridiculously skinny like you would think for a kid his age. I never saw him play, but my friend said he was ultra uncoordinated and couldn't even touch the rim, which was understandable given how quickly he grew .

Oddly enough, it seemed like a 6'7'' 6th grader would probably grow like 8 feet tall or something, but at the time they said he was expected to grow to only about 6'11'' to 7'0''. I don't actually know how tall he really ended up though.
