Nflico Who will be the offensive rookie of the year?

We've now gotten looks at most of the contenders for offensive rookie of the year, who wins it?

Just heard an interesting theory on ESPN that it could very well be Mark Sanchez, but I don't necessarily agree with it.

I'm definitely leaning towards Sanchez...he looks to do the most this season (I believe it's a foregone conclusion he's going to be Rex Ryan's guy in Week 1).

I'd say Moreno, but with those injuries and that loaded backfield they have, and with how unpredictable Mcdaniels is, I can't pick him anymore.

I have no idea at this point, because no one seems to be in a situation where it's guaranteed that they'll be a go to guy for their team right away.

I think the choice right now this early has to be Sanchez by default. He will be in a very favorable position for a rookie quarterback, and quarterbacks are usually going to be the first choice for this award if they play well.

I don't think any of the wide receivers have a legitimate chance for this. Offensive linemen aren't going to win it. I think Moreno is out of the running for the reasons Tex mentioned. Donald Brown will be splitting too much time with Joseph Addai to win the award. I think that leaves Beansie Wells as the only guy left to really challenge Sanchez, and he plays on a pass happy offense.

Moreno wins if he can log 13 games.

He still has to get a ton of touches though, that's the thing. It's hard to predict how Mcdaniels will spread out those touches between him, Hillis, Buckhalter, and Jordan. Plus, how long will that offense be staying on the field on drives with Orton at the realm?? If there weren't so many questions like that I'd go with Moreno as it would be an easy decision.

Now with the way Brown looked in that first Colts game, if Addai gets hurt then look out!!! Hell if Brown starts going on a terror, he just might take Addai's job early as well. Addai will most likely play well enough though to keep it as a time share, but brown is an intriguing name for this discussion as well.

I would say Moreno too, but I'm worried about what McD will do. I think it might be close between Sanchez and Hakeem Nicks.

The best offensive rookies are all Olineman but they would never win. Brown if Addai goes down. Sanchez has a good shot. I don't think the WR's will do anything so I'm going with Moreno. Not a lock but most likely.

I don't know if I can buy into Moreno for two reasons.....

    #1 the injury

#2 the defense, the absence of Cutler and Marshalls issues

The kid could get off to a slow start if his injury lingers. Furthermore he obtained that injury like right after he started playing, I hope this isn't the first sign to an injury prone career.

The defense is the larger issue to me though. Nobody, including the Broncos own coaches, sound confident in that defense this year. They could be bad, like really really bad. Without a prolific passing game to keep them in games this year the Broncos may not find themselves running the ball much in the 2nd half of games if at all.

My best guess for OROY this year is going to go to Percy Harvin. I think talent and opportunity line up perfectly for this guy.

Yeah, but no one has really seen how well he'll be worked into this offense yet. It might take him a while to get used to being an NFL type of WR running traditional routes.

I think Hakeem Nicks has a better shot than Harvin at this point. That could change though if I see Harvin do some crazy stuff in these next few pre season games.
