    Vikings pursuing Harrison too

There's buzz that the Vikings might sign ex-Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison, 36, who is near the end of his career and has tender knees, to a one-year, low-end deal to provide competition for Sidney Rice.

you should love them picking up Harrison. He wont do anything special with them. WCO is about YAC, something i don't see Harrison doing much anymore. Also expect him to get scared across the middle cause he wont have the same chemistry with the QB so he will be put out their to dry a few times.

I dont expect Harrison to get over 300 yards this year for any team he plays for unless its the Colts.

Never underestimate the value of a seasoned veteran, they help a team more than just on the field.

Exactly what I was thinking. Wasn't Harrison known for running the route tree with Manning before every game? Didn't the Vikings just draft a receiver out of a university that is known for receivers not running very good routes? Sounds like a perfect match if the price is right.

Yeah, it's not like Issac Bruce didn't just go off for over 1,000 yards without a real good QB for the Niners.

Harrison could have easily came close to or had 1,000 yards last season if he wasn't over thrown by Manning on a few plays and he had a few drops that he normally doesn't have on a few plays that would have been TD's last season. Harrison won't need to be a top WR for them. Just a reliable and efficient guy if he stays healthy. There is no way that this could even remotely be looked at as a bad signing.

I'm not sure if you're being serious, but that didn't happen.

I was being serious, but you're exactly right that it didn't happen and I was wrong. I could have sworn that I saw multiple times in the past from last season that he went over 1,000 yards.

He did still have 835 yards and 7 TD's on the Niners though with two QB's that weren't exactly stellar, so I'd still say that Bruce had a pretty successful season over all for what people could have expected at his age on a team like the Niners with their QB situation.

I think if Harrison comes in healthy and stays healthy throughout the season he could have numbers around that range possibly which would be all that he would be expected to do really. They wouldn't need Harrison to be anything major for them when they have Berrian who is getting better, Rice who is getting better as well, and Harvin as well.
