    Ellis done in Dallas?

IRVING – Greg Ellis' future with the Cowboys is in doubt.

Ellis did not take part in Thursday's organized team activity workout at Standridge Stadium as the Cowboys consider the possibility of trading or releasing the veteran linebacker, according to multiple sources.

The Cowboys would free up more than $5 million in salary cap room in 2009 with a trade. If they cut Ellis, they would save $4.15 million because he has a $1.5 million guarantee that was added to his contract in 2007.

Makes sense after we drafted 2 OLBs and wanted to move Spencer in the starting lineup.

Yeah, but still I am going to miss him. He was a true professional during his time in Dallas.

And he's been pretty solid and dependable throughout his career as well. Im sure he'll have no problem catching on for 2-3 seasons with another team.
