    Chargers 2009 Schedule Released

Week 1: at Oakland Raiders (Monday Night Football)
    Week 2: vs. Baltimore Ravens
    Week 3: vs. Miami Dolphins
Week 4: at Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday Night Football)
    Week 5: Bye
Week 6: vs. Denver Broncos (Monday Night Football)
Week 7: at Kansas City Chiefs
    Week 8: vs. Oakland Raiders
Week 9: at New York Giants
    Week 10: vs. Philadelphia Eagles
    Week 11: at Denver Broncos
Week 12: vs. Kansas City Chiefs
    Week 13: at Cleveland Browns
    Week 14: at Dallas Cowboys
    Week 15: vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Week 16: at Tennessee Titans (Thursday Night Football)
    Week 17: vs. Washington Redskins

I have mixed feelings about this schedule. After starting off against Oakland, they play three tough games (host Baltimore, host Miami, at Pittsburgh) before a bye week. The thing I'm most happy about is that SD only has four East Coast games, and only one of them is the early game (at KC). The other three are a night game at Pitt, an afternoon game at the Giants, afternoon game at the Browns, and a night game at the Titans. Dallas isn't really an East Coast game, and I wouldn't have considered KC, but they do play the early game that day, and SD usually struggles in that game.

Other than that, SD doesn't really have that tough of a schedule. They don't have to play NE or Indy, which could be good or bad. Outside of the NFC East games, and a couple others, they have a good shot to be better than last years record (they really don't have a choice). Its conceivable that they could win 10-12 games this year.

well, no one in the afc west has a particularly tough schedule because they get to play each other 6 times. however, playing the nfc east is difficult and the chargers do have a 1st place schedule and therefore play all the first place teams in the afc from last year. they're probably looking at another 8 or 9 win season, which may win the west again.

Yeah, they are playing the first place schedule, but the only difference they have from the other teams is that they play Tennessee and Miami, instead of Indy and New England. I think that both Indy and New England will be better teams this year, so I think the Chargers really lucked out in that regard.

Exactly, the team did luck out, but at the sametime it's about time they don't have to face Indy or New England. Also since 2005, the Chargers have lost only one game against the Super Bowl participents from previous years...so I like our chances against Pitt..especially since the weather wont be as nasty as last year (well hopefully it wont be)

I see no reason why the team shouldn't win anywhere from 10-12 games...

At this moment that's what I believe they should win, but most likely there will be two or three they should've won that they won't.

the chargers have so much more talent than any other team in this division that it's not even close. however, norv is notorious for making untalented teams finish with 4 or 5 wins and talented teams finish in the 8 to 9-win range so that's what i'm going with. 8 or 9 wins, which may win the division again.
