I don't like the (for now) qualifiers and incomplete grades. You may as well put a (for now) by everyone.
I think VY and Leinart should have an Incomplete, since enither of them have even played for 3 full years yet, or really had the chance to in Leinarts case...and Bush I don't think of a Bust...maybe not worth that high of a pick, but definately not a bust.
Basically players that had their chance to play and couldn't, should be labeled as bust...but some of these guys haven't even had a real chance to play yet by either being buried on the depth chart or due to injury....and it's too soon to say Bust or Not a Bust with them yet.
From one #88 to another...
Matt Leinart I dont thik he a bust yet... he havent started a full season yet to qualify him as a bust...
This is all based on his expectations of a player going at a certain spot.
I'm still a bit unsure of Marcedes Lewis, he has his moments but still drops a lot of passes. I think next year will determine his fate.
If you're going to count VY and Bush as busts, then Cromartie should be a bust too. VY lead his team to the playoffs, and Bush has been what a lot of people expected from him. Cromartie had one great year out of 3, but was burned a lot last year. I have a lot of love for Cromartie, and I have defended him for a while since he played through a tough injury in 08, but I don't think you can call VY and Bush busts without calling him, among others, a bust.
I just dont see Bush as a bust, especially if you are going to label Maroney incomplete... they have not used Bush right, he could be great in the right system.
agree with everyone here. this article makes some rash judgements and some premature decisions.
