my post Cutler 2 round mock

I took a few liberties with trades but I think it looks good. At least until Detroit signs an OT 24 hrs before the draft. This is a tough year all over.

Draft Tracker - Round One order
1 Detroit M Stafford QB - Alright I admit it every year I sell the best player then at the last moment buy on someone else. This year I do feel there is a good reason to pass on the BPA though. QBs are very week here Strafford may be the only one worth taking and OT are very strong this year passing on Monroe isn't so bad when you know 1st round talent can be found in the 2nd round this year. I also still think D is possible but just aren't seeing any big interest in Orakpo here.

2 St. Louis Eugene Monroe LT - This is just a tough pick with Strafford off QB is out but everything else is still possible. SL has a lot of needs so I'm just leaning toward the BPA.

3 Kansas City Everette Brown DE/LB - As much as everyone is saying go O KC is looking to go D. If they are serious about a 3-4 D then Brown should be their man.

4 Seattle Brian Orakpo DE/LB - Oher and Smith are good options but I am liking Orakpo here a lot. He can play a few positions on D and Seattle needs to step up there D if they plan on taking back their divition this year.

5 trade Jacksonville M Crabtree WR - Jax will want Crabtree bad if he makes it past the top 4 and I can see Cleveland selling at a good price here.

6 Cincinnati Jason Smith LT - As much as everyone is pushing Smith and Monroe as 1 and 2 one of them is going to fall and Cinci will be happy to see it.

7 Oakland Jeremy Maclin WR - They do seem to like him here still not sure why he is not worth it but you go for the guys you like. If crabtree falls I could see them trading down with Jax but not much changes.

8 trade Cleveland Chris Wells RB - I've been sold on this pick for a while. I know it is not a popular pick but I just can't see Cleveland passing on a future back like Wells. They have put together an OK D in FA and all signs point at them going O here and if they can get a few more picks for passing on Crabtree why not. Raji is a though pass but I think Mingi will patch things up with Rodgers and if not Ahtyba Rubin was a steal last year.

9 Green Bay B.J. Raji DT/NT - Raji is their best possible pick here and I can't see him not being there.

10 San Francisco Aaron Curry LB - If Strafford slides I see SF going that way but signing Huard puts any other QB off their board. Curry is highly ranked and should go 10 or 11.

11 Buffalo Aaron Maybin DE/LB - They will be looking for Curry or Brown to drop but I'm not sure either of them do anymore. Maybin has made it back up the board so I think it is him or Britton here and it is too early for Britten.

12 Denver Tyson Jackson DE - QB is a major issue but DE is a big priority as well. They can pass on QB here and save about a mil. taking one at 18.

13 Washington Michael Oher LT - OT or DE are both good choices here and I like Oher a lot. Robert Ayers or Michael Johnson would be good here too but I'm not sold on either this early.

14 New Orleans Malcolm Jenkins DB - No DB until 14? Yep not likely but I am having trouble finding a place for one outside of NO or Denver and with 2 1st rounders it can wait for Denver.

15 Houston Robert Ayers DE - LDE is a primary need for the Houston and Ayers is a try-hard motor player who is rising.

16 San Diego Rey Maualuga LB - If TJ is there they may jump on him but outside of that they need help in the middle and have a few good players to choice from here.

17trade Tampa Bay Josh Freeman QB - Sanchez may be more the pro ready QB but Freeman is more the tough in your face guy TB needs. The Jets have done everything possible to tempt TB or Detroit into a trade and I think one of them bite.

18 Denver Vontae Davis DB - As much as Sanchez looks good here I have to pass for Davis. Denver needs to add a little more youth in that backfield and Davis will be one of their #12 considerations.

19trade NY Jets Jarron Gilbert DT/DE - If they can't get TJ tradeing down makes sense the only question is how far down they go. Britton and Gilbert are my favorites to go here. They are lookibg at WR as a 2nd round option only and QB is just a smoke screen.

20 Detroit Peria Jerry DT - Grady is older then then dirt and just as moble these days. With Betty, Unger, Smith, Britten, and Phil Loadholt all still on the board again why jump on one when you have other pressing needs.

21 Philadelphia Knowshon Moreno TB - Westy faded out in the playoffs so the Eagles may be looking to lighten his load and with Moreno there they may not be able to pass.

22 Minnesota D Heyward-Bey WR - They missed out last year by passing they will not do that again. Bey will work good opposite Rice and will help their new QB succeed.

23 New England Brian Cushing LB - Cushing is a big gamble but NE has the picks to gamble here.

24 Atlanta Ziggy Hood DT/DE/NT - Atlanta has there pick of a few good DT here and Hood is an intriguing player.

25trade St. Louis Mark Sanchez QB - If Sanchez or Freeman are still on the board at this point look for someone to trade back into the 1st. SL would love to have their future QB under center early and at a good price and this would be their best chance.

26 Baltimore Darius Butler DB - Has really looked good going into the draft and in all likely hood should go higher.

27 Indianapolis Donald Brown RB - McCoy has better has but I like Brown's running style a lot more. Brown and Adia should make a good 1-2 punch.

28 Philadelphia B Pettigrew TE - TE alway seems to find it's way into the 1st and Philly seems to be the best taker there.

29 NY Giants Derek Pegues FS - Someone should jump on Pegues early and the Giant are anther team that can do what ever they want.

30 Tennessee Alphonso Smith DB - Smith is anther outstanding DB that I find it hard to beleive falls this far. Tenn could use Smith a lot and will find it easy to pass on WR options here with him on the board.

31 Arizona Max Unger C/G/T - Unger is a utility OL and that could be of use to Zona. Beatty is a tough pass but Ungers versatility speaks loudly for him.

32 Pittsburgh Eben Britton OT - Pitts has a few OL to choice from and Britton may be the BPA here if he falls.

1 Detroit Will Beatty T - I am tempted to have them pass on OT again for MJ but that would just be irrisponcilbe.

2 New England Percy Harvin WR - Anther gamble for NE but they could use a good young #3 and Harvin may be that man.

3 trade Miami Ron Brace DT/NT - BP and Miami will likely be looking to trade down but if they can't Brace is their guy in the 1st.

4 Cleveland D.J. Moore CB - Moore is the value pick here and cleveland should be happy to get him.

5 Seattle Andre Smith OL - Seattle was looking at him for their 1st not too long ago so taking him as a
    2nd seems very likely.

6 Cincinnati Rashad Jennings RB - He could be a great gamlbe and Cinci is looking for answers there.

7 Cleve from Jax Phil Loadholt OL - The main reason I have Cleveland looking to trade down. Phil could be an anchor on that right side for years to come.

8 Oakland Michael Johnson DE - Oaklands draft choices always confuse me a bit but this is one they may get right.

9 Green Bay Shonn Greene RB - Green has fallen a lot but you may still see him on day 1 and GB may need to think RB in the 2nd.

10 Buffalo Shawn Nelson TE - Coffman injury has him falling fast and Nelson seems to be the one taking over. TE just seems to be the logical choicefor Buff in the 2nd.

11 San Francisco J Laurinaitis LB - A lot of teams have veared away from him but he should still be an early 2nd rounder.

12 Miami Connor Barwin DE/LB - I'd have him going earlier but I just couldn't find a spot for him. With Nicks still there he could fall farther thou.

13 NY Giants Larry English DE/LB - I do not really like the guy but a few teams have expressed interest and the Giants may be takers if he is there.

14 Houston Brian Robiskie WR - Big play threat, OK hands but will be tagged as a #3 WR. Houston needs a good WR prospect so Nicks and Robiskie make sense.

15 New England Louis Delmas S - This is a reloading season for NE and I could see them going in all directions. Delmas is anther gamble pick but at least 2 of these day 1 picks should turn out big for NE.

16 Denver Fili Moala DT/DE - Fili falling to Denver almost makes me sick. Taking anther DE seems a bit much for a team that already has too many but they have no one that fits there new 3-4.

17 Chicago Hakeem Nicks WR - Chicago finally has a QB and will try to help him out. Hester should be used as a ST option anyway.

18 Cleveland Sean Smith DB - Even after taking Moore they should look to add anther guy in their backfield.

19 Dallas Asher Allen CB - I've heard a few good things and Dallas has a whole there.

20 NY Jets Kenny Britt WR - The Jets have made it no secret they plan on taking a WR in the 2nd but they may
have to trade up if they want a better option. Britt is a home town boy so it is a good fit thou.

    21 Philadelphia Alex Mack C - They already have a future G and T why not take a C.

22 Minnesota Sen Marks DT - They should fill their 2 biggest needs on day 1.

23 Atlanta William Moore SS - The mighty have fallen far. Good news for Atlanta who should be looking for one in the 1st.

24 Miami Darry Beckwith ILB - A solid player but not an exciting pick.

25 Baltimore Scott McKillop ILB - With Lewis aging and Scott gone ILB has to be an early thought.

26 New England Nate Davis QB - I know I'll get a lot of comments on this one but Davis fits NE. He will have time to learn their O and not be pressured to succeed early.

27 Carolina Paul Kruger DE - To early for Kruger? I like him and this is an outstanding DE draft.

28 NY Giants Pat White WR/QB/RB - An odd pick I know but it could really open up a lot of options for the NY offense.

29 Indianapolis Patrick Chung DB - Maybe the most under rated player in this draft. Indy gets a damb good player here.

30 Tennessee Clay Matthews DE/LB - I think he should go before English but hey Tenn gets him here if he falls
    so whos to complain.

31 Arizona Victor Harris DB - Personal conserns have him falling. Is he still a day 1 pick?

32 Pittsburgh Coye Francies CB - A late climber on a lot of boards maybe just enough to crack the 2nd round.

First Off no way Denver goes DE with that first pick. My Guess is they will be going Mark Sanchez and Jarron Gilbert isn't a first rounder

Sanchez is not worth their 1st pick.

How exactly did you come up with that Conclusion?

I'm going to say you're dreaming if you think Curry's slipping to 10, especially past Cleveland on a trade down.

the one thing i do want to comment on is the first pick for the eagles... and it's only the reasoning you have for it... Westbrook, the featured back, fizzed out in the playoffs... using the first pick on his backup isn't exactly a good plan... there are other RBs later in the draft that is good enough to spell Westbrook and would be cheaper...which is something the Eagles like..

Phillys 1st was a tough one for me but Moreno falling to them is a really hard pass. I had them going TE 1st then Brown but this way they still get the same TE and Moreno. It just made ore sense as no one between 22-28 will consider a TE and I can't see anyone trading up for one this year. I could see a DB but that is not a huge need for Philly

eh good point, but what i was saying was they could get a good backup for westy in a later round...you don't think philly would benefit from having a good tackle or db from that pick? or at least more so than a runningback? providing depth for westy isn't that big of a need...at least in my opinion...

i dont disagree about the stance on the TE position with them
