Packers agree to terms with OL Preston

The Green Bay Packers agreed to terms with guard/center Duke Preston on Thursday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Terms of the deal were unknown.

The 6-foot-5, 326-pound Preston started 11 games at center for Buffalo last year. The Packers, according to the Journal Sentinel, consider Preston a prospect at any of the three interior line positions.

The move was the first the Packers have made this offseason on another team’s unrestricted free agent.
It is said to be a 2 year contract. Does this mean we will cut/trade Wells since he is average and the only one limited to 1 position (center)?

I'll go with Colledge as our best lineman. Preston is a backup C and Spitz was projected a C coming from Louisville (he's the backup now). We won't cut Preston (can play 4 positions on the line) or Spitz, so I guess Wells is the odd man out.

I'm not saying it's a done deal, but I wouldn't be surprised if we traded Wells on draft day / cut him.
