The 2013 Combine: Open Thread
The Underwear Olympics (as brother Crunked is wont to call them) (there's my $2 word for the day) have begun in earnest with the weigh-ins.
Early results, Chance Warmack came in at 6'2, shorter than expected.

Dee Milliner has a torn labrum and will have surgery after the combine.
Keenan Allen and Eddie Lacy will not participate in the workouts

Is Milliner going to workout at all, or is he just passing on everything but the medicals and interviews?

It sounded like he was going to workout. Same with Dion Jordan who is apparently in the same boat.

Jarvis Jones is not working out. I know the medical is the biggest thing for him, but I question the strategy here unless he is not 100%. So much of the focus, fairly or not, will be on his timed speed and I don't think he is ever going to be great in that area, so giving yourself only one day to do it seems a little risky to me. I always look at the combine and the pro days as two shots. Even if you blow the combine, you can fix it at the pro day. If you knock it out at the combine, stand on those numbers.

Tavon Austin didn't get much smaller, listed at 5'9, measures in at 5'8 1/2. Weight identical to college listing.
-
Terron Armstead, a 6'5 306 pound offensive tackle. Let me repeat the key parts and bold them, 306 pound offensive tackle, just ran a 4.65 40 yard dash.
Wow.

Chance Warmack looks horrible running the 40. Good thing he looks terrific on tape.
-
Lane Johnson runs a 4.75 40 time as an offensive tackle. Probably the best athlete of the group, but I'm still not sold on his tape showing enough to warrant the first round buzz he's getting.
