NYJ Clowney's shoulder injury no laughing matter

Quote:
Promising WR David Clowney, one of the most improved players in training camp, suffered a broken collarbone in Saturday night’s loss to the Redskins, I’m told. Ordinarily, that’s a four-to-six-week injury, depending on the severity. It could be season-ending if surgery is required. I don’t know if that’s the case, but I do know that Clowney still is seeing doctors and undergoing more tests. Usually, that’s not a good sign.

It happened in the third quarter on an 14-yard reception, his fourth of the game. Clowney landed shoulder first and CB Justin Tryon drove him into the ground. It was a clean play, just a tough break for Clowney, who had a team-high eight catches and two touchdowns after two games. His deep speed would’ve helped the offense, especially with the strong-armed Brett Favre slinging the pigskin.

He was emerging as the 3rd WR and our best deep threat so it's disappointing to see that his season might be over before it even started.

Trade for Anquan Boldin? I like the idea.

EDIT: BTW I would like to introduce myself as the newest member of the Jets fan family, all though i forever bleed Green and Gold, i am jumping on the green and white's bandwagon for as long as my hero Brett is around. And no i am not betraying the Packers, they are still first and foremost.
