In New England - #10 pick Jerod Mayo is a sight for sore eyes. A 22 year old LB in NE is almost unheard of.
He'll so make the team and he'll start sooner than later.
Actually Shawn Crable has looked very good as well as a pass rushing linebacker. I was very ticked when the Pats drafted him.

Hester will most likely be the backup RB. and occasionally play FB but not a lot cause he is to small. If he wanted to play FB i would say he needs to gain at lest 15+ pounds to be around 240.
? Hester is good enough to back up Pinnock if that needed to happen, but it's not the case. I don't think you understand what it's like to have a stacked roster, it's hard to find room for good players, that's why I say for an UDFA FULLBACK, he's doing great, and will make the team.

And it's not me that says this about Hester, it's the coaching staff, they've done more than say, they've lined him up there a lot through out the summer camps and training camp.

And man, to me you are flip flopping on the issue, first you say he'll stay because Pinnock sucks, but then you go ahead and say he's staying because of Pinnock's injury.... it's too bad Pinnock is healthy and off the PUP list and pracipating fully in practice...but I don't know, what do I know?

Yeah, it is hard to make a roster as deep as this as an undrafted free agent, but you're making a bit too much out of this. At the end, he's a fullback. No matter how stacked some teams are, fullbacks, long snappers, and special teamers make teams all the time as undrafted free agents. If an undrafted RB or TE or LB makes the team, it's an accomplishment. For a FB, not so much.

Hester is a good player. I never said he was a bad player. I just think he is to small to be a effective every down fullback. That’s why he is most likely going to be LT's main backup & play a more expanded role then Turner had. Cause Hester can catch the ball pretty good unlike Turner... He just wont be the main backup fullback or the feature starting FB unless he gains some weight.

Fullbacks make teams all the time being UDFA. Seattle's last 2 starters at FB are undrafted in Strong & Weaver. Strong made a statement on how good he is. Weaver is impressive but yet to make the statement. All Tolbert is right now is good talent with potential. Teams will keep them players on the roster if they see them as feature starters cause they don’t want them stolen off the waivers/ practice squad.

Just because Pinnock is off the pup list doesn’t mean he is healthy. Just healthy enough to pass a physical. I would put money on it that his knee is sore. Also he has had a problem with his knee. If I remember right he missed some time during the season last year to get arthroscopic knee surgery. Then he has the injury in the playoffs. The Chargers have to have a backup to him cause that history. Even if it is a UDFA in Tolbert.
