DEN Bailey's Injury Considered "Severe"

Quote:
Broncos lose Ramsey, call Champ Bailey's injury 'severe'
By Jeff Legwold, Rocky Mountain News (Contact)
Published October 22, 2008 at 12:29 p.m.

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan confirmed Wednesday cornerback Champ Bailey will miss at least a month with a tear in a groin muscle that he termed a "severe injury.''

Bailey could miss more time, but the Broncos are hoping he can return by late November or early December.

"I think it will be a month for sure,'' Shanahan said.

They are, uh, in first place...

And if you need to make roster room, there's a bus full of safeties we can get rid of with no decline in our defensive abilities.

They may be, but how do you really think they are going to fair with Bly and Williams as the starting corners? I'd like to remain optimistic, but its gettin pretty hard.

The corners don't make any difference. What, are the opposing QBs going to go from 85% completions to 87%? They already scored on every drive. Before they could stop WRs, but nothing else. Now they can stop nothing. Stopping WRs but not TEs or RBs doesn't help because the TEs and RBs already get it done. It's like they were at 0, they can't go to -1.

I don't know if that makes any sense, but all's I'm saying is it can't get any worse.
