i had a list of 6 teams i thought could easily contend for it. after some debating and breaking down, i chose the final and probably most obvious team.I chose the New England Patiots. They have one of the best QBs in the league, they Laurence Maroney is in his 2nd year (they lost Corey Dillon but hes still a FA and should be fine with out him anyway), they didnt lose a coordinator, they have Ben Watson and the OL returning, and now a great WR core. Randy Moss, one of the best talents in the league with a good QB, Donte Stallworth (who played well with Donavan McNabb), Wes Welker ( a good 3rd WR), and Reche Caldwell form maybe the best WR core in the league. Brady has always preformed well with over 3,000 yards normally with mid range talent or he makes the WRs better. Now he has a very talented set to go along with a catching RB and TE.

Hands down, without any doubt in my mind, the Indianapolis Colts come to my mind instantly. Hands down, they will out do all the other competition in the NFL this year and bring home the title of the best offense in 2007. Peyton Manning has not thrown anything less than 26 touchdown passes in his entire career, last year he threw 31, a league best. Having Marvin Harrison and of course, Reggie Wayne, and adding Anthony Gonzalez from Ohio State, Manning has the weapons at wide out to throw, once again, 30 plus touchdown passes in 2007.
With Dallas Clark coming off his injury for the playoffs and playing exceptionally well, and with Ben Utecht stepping it up in his absence last year, Manning also has two very good tight ends to throw to. At Runningback we have Joseph Addai. Fresh off of a thousand yard plus campaign in his rookie year, he will only continue to get better. Add in his seven rushing touchdown and one recieving one(along with 40 receptions), he proves to be a threat on not only the ground, but out of the backfield for Manning as well. Dominic Rhodes added in over 600 yards and 5 touchdowns and 36 receptions, a nice one two punch for the Colts in the backfield. (Omfg, I am an idiot, I didnt even realize Rhodes was gone, lol) I still believe in that Addai will prove to be more valuable than he was last year. With our without Rhodes, the Colts still have a great runningback in Addai, so that doesnt change anything. Without a doubt the Colts will show us why they don't deserve to be the third best offense in 2007, or the second best for that matter. Indianapolis Colts: Best Offense, 2007. That has a nice ring.

So I suppose that you are the only 2 that actually want points in the Ultimate Challenge.

all right, all kidding aside heres my debate thingy: When I think Best Offense, i think New Orlean Saints. This offense has every needed to be the top offense in the NFL. At WR they have the big bodied, sure handed Marques Colston who will constantly be able to move the ball and provides an excellent target in the end-zone. They also have the extremely fast deep threat in Devery Henderson who averaged a hefty 23.3 yards per catch last season, which means hes a threat to score every time he touches the ball. They also have the recently drafted Robert Meachem, who no matter what negative things you may think about him, is a phenomenal talent at WR and could be lethal as a 3rd WR during his rookie year combining both speed and excellent hands. To round out the unit is the veteran that will only help the young WR's get better while adding a reliable target, David Patten. Speaking of pass catchers, its time to bring up one of the Saints best off-season moves that hasn't gotten much attention. TE Eric Johnson, will give the Saints yet another very reliable target to keep eating up yards, and come one when Eric Johnson is your 3rd or 4th best option your in very good shape. Now lets talk about whos going to be throwing these guys the ball. Drew Brees is a perfect fit for Sean Paytons offensive system. Last season Brees had 8 games where he threw for at least 300 yards, 5 games over 350, en route to leading the league in passing yards and leading the Saints to the playoffs. But all of the above is just extra help, the real show stoppers on this offense are the RB's. Deuce McAllister is a good bet to reach 1,000 yards rushing just about every year. He gives the Saints a stable and effective running game that helps open up the explosive passing game. But hes not the star here, Reggie Bush, the do it all offensive weapon rounds out this exciting and explosive offense. Bush is a capable runner but hes most effective when you take advantage of his exceptional catching abilities(lets not forget that Bush is usually the fastest/most elusive man on the field making him a pain to bring down). With the Saints offense you can't avoid the mismatches, you just have to pick your poison and hope the other guys have an off day.
