Deion 2.0

This was posted on another board, and yeah pretty weak.

Who wants a player that just quits and gives no effort?

So some moron posts this on another board and you drag it over here? Come on Tex.....quit looking for reasons to bash the Cowboys. First of all, if he was the second coming of Deion, I'd be willing to put up with his shying away from tackling since Deion shut down one whole side of the field. Secondly, one 33 second clip is supposed to be indicative of how he plays all the time? I've seen him go in and make hits, so I don't think he's afraid of contact.

He gave up on the play. You saying he didn't?

And don't try accusing me of looking for reasons to bash the Cowboys. I actually gave you several reasons as to why they should be okay this season talking them up a bit when they first started seeing a lot of adversity, while you were sulking and confessing that their season is over after like two losses. If I wanted to kick dirt on the Cowboys, right now would be a really opportune time to do it, and I've actually gave them a lot more slack than they probably deserved. As much as I would love to pile it on the Cowboys, I think it's a pretty poor shame what Phillips has let happen to this team. To your surprise, I haven't been taking joy in their recent sorrows. It's killing my fantasy production as well.

I'm not saying that he didn't, but what I AM saying is that backing off of one play doesn't make him soft or heartless and you should know that.

You never gave several reasons why the Pokes SHOULD be ok. You made points about several things they have to DO. That isn't the same thing. I wasn't sulking when I made that statement. I was stating a very real probability. They are already 1-2 since Brad Johnson took over and have yet to get Newman back. That's not a good start when they have lost two division games and two other games to teams they had no business losing to.

If I remember correctly, you also spent quite a bit of time in that thread bashing the Cowboys for their attitudes. The media makes them odds-on SB favorites in the offseason and some people assume that the Cowboys have that attitude as well. You don't know that for a fact, but it never stopped you from bashing them for it.

lol...I like watching the younger guys play because plays like that tell a lot about them. I can see where Tex is making the no heart stab towards Jenkins. Don't get me wrong, he is a damn good player, and he has spunk for sure, I just ain't so sure it's the right kind of spunk.

He has no heart because he gave up while they were down. You should always fight tooth and nail whether you are down by 1 pt. or 101 pts. That is cowardly and it also lets your teammates and fanbase know for a fact that you don't have their back when worse comes to worst. He is an "I will play while we are winning, and pout while we are down" type player. Sorry Hawkeye, but Tex is right. He is heartless.

Wasn't that one of the things said about him before the draft, that he sometimes don't give his all?
