The rumor I heard on the radio yesterday was that the Lions wanted 2 first round picks for him but the Cowboys turned the deal down. So i'm curious what the details are.

Jerry Jones is about as desperate as a reality show ***** is to get famous to make a dumb deal like that. Why would he give up that much for Roy Williams when he isn't even that much better than Crayton? TO will continue to want the ball and when he doesn't get it, he will complain.

He could have possibly gotten T.J. Houshmenzadah for that kind of deal. I just think that was way to much for Williams. People are just enthusiastic about Williams's size.

If thats too much to give up for Roy WIlliams its way too much to give up for TJ Houshemandzadeh.

For starters TJ is 31 years old, which means if you trade your future for him now you're going to pay for it 3 years from now when you need to replace him.

Secondly, TJ isn't as explosive. He's a strict posession receiver with little big play capability.

Third, what about when T.O. moves on or retires? Now TJ is your #1 receiver? The guy has always been more of a #2 guy, although this season given Chads poor production you could argue otherwise. Still defenses play TJ the same way they always have, they let TJ make the catches underneath as long as Chad doesn't beat them deep. As a #1 TJ's luster wears off.

I guess those are some pretty valid points Phil. I didn't realize T.J. was that old. It would definitely be to much for T.J. as well, but I wouldn't give that up for either of them in the first place. I mainly mentioned T.J. though because I would rather have T.J. on my team right now than Roy Williams. I'm just not impressed with Roy in the last two years. He has all the talent in the world but he is soft, and has an excuse for everything it seems like.

IRVING – Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones made no secret he wanted to add a receiver opposite Terrell Owens in the off-season. It just took until the final moments before the trade deadline to get it done.
