Pacman suspended indefinately, review in 4 weeks.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones indefinitely without pay, for a minimum of four games, on Tuesday for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy.

Jones will miss at least the next four games. Goodell will determine the final length of the suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on Nov. 16. The decision on whether Jones can return to play will be based on his strict compliance with his NFL and Dallas Cowboys treatment plans as well as on evaluations of his progress that will be provided to Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL.

Jones was involved in an alcohol-related physical altercation at a Dallas hotel on Oct. 8 that resulted in hotel employees calling the police. Goodell in today's letter to Jones called it a continuation of "a disturbing pattern of behavior and clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."

Ha! It's about time. Only we will look at it in four weeks? That means he'll most likely be back in four weeks which sucks, because that is a very light suspension when he was just gone for a full year. It isn't supposed to be a lighter suspension when you keep screwing up.

I'm thinking he's done for the year. The review 4 weeks from now is likely more of a formality than anything else. In order to serve due diligence the comish has to review this thing after all of the facts are laid out before him before making an ultimate decision about the remainder of the season.

I don't know if I'd say that. I'm guessing that a lot of people have been asking him about why he hasn't done anything with Pac Man. A lot of people are just sick and tired of hearing about him, and I bet Goodell had a little pressure for this. Plus, imagine what happens with some other guys down the road who get in some big trouble and when Goodell wants to suspend them, they might attempt to use Pac Man not getting suspended as their scape goat by asking why he was allowed to screw up again and get off easy. Just my own little theory.
