DAL Stanback wants to return kicks

Quote:
WR Isaiah Stanback thought he did "OK" in his first real NFL action, when he caught a couple passes for 24 yards. Stanback knows he might not get much time at WR for the rest of the season, with Miles Austin coming back as soon as Monday night and Sam Hurd perhaps returning for the Green Bay game.

That's one reason why Stanback is lobbying coaches to let him return kicks again. It looked like he'd be the Cowboys' primary kick returner until his shoulder popped out while trying to recover his own fumble in the preseason game against the Texans.

Stanback would much rather risk re-injuring his shoulder returning kicks than be inactive on game days.
