Hall of Fame RBs Emmitt Smith and Tony Dorsett worry about Marion "The Barbarian" Barber's bruising style. Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman disagrees with their take that Barber ought to tone it down a bit.
"I think the guy is a great football player," Aikman said during Fox's broadcast Sunday. "Part of what makes him great is the fact that he is so physical. That's his style, and I don't think you can change that.
"If I were a coach, I wouldn't want to change it. Would you like to minimize some of the contact? Absolutely. But he is what he is, and I think that if that does shorten his career, then so be it. The years that he's healthy, he's going to be a great player in this league."
