Not that this is current recruiting, but Iowa has five players that are currently contributing significantly to our success.
Diauntae Morrow (4 star class of 2007) from St Edward HS of Lakewood has seen time in the secondary this season and looked fairly good. Bradley Fletcher (2 star class of 2004) from Liberty HS of Youngstown is a starting CB and looks pretty good. I don't see much of a drop off from the corners we had last season. Trey Stross (3 star class of 2005) from Avon Lake HS has battled injuries through his career, but shows excellent hands when he is on the field. I saw him in the game against NIU two years ago and the pass was overthrown by a little and Stross laid out and made a fantastic diving catch for a first down. If only he could stay healthy. Rick Stanzi (3 star class of 2006) from Lake Catholic of Mentor is currently the starting QB at Iowa. They have rotated QBs in the first two games and Stanzi played ok in the first game, but was on fire in the second. You could just tell that there was a difference between him and Jake in the pocket. Stanzi seems more poised, doesn't get happy feet, feels the rush and has some wheels when he has to take off. He gets the nod to start vs ISU this week and that will be a better test of his skills than either of the first two games. Derrell Johnson-Koulianos (3 star class of 2006) from Cardinal Mooney of Youngstown is a starter at WR. Hawk fans have been waiting for this kid to hit the field ever since he stepped on campus. He teased fans last year by showing what he was capable of, but he dropped too many passes and let starting go to his head. Nevertheless, he still led the team in receptions and yards and is on pace to do it again. He currently leads the team in yards and at 19.8 ypc gives the Hawks a deep threat they have lacked since Tim Dwight.
