The nation's number one recruit, quarterback Terrelle Pryor, has removed Michigan and Oregon from his short list. That leaves only Ohio State and Penn State.

I think this a sign that the Rodreguez signing is a bad one for Michigan. He runs a spread offense on for a big name team and he couldn't secure the best spread QB prospect. I think the shenanigans surrounding his departure has really hurt his rep....

this is great news for OSU! do you think he'd start next season?

Start, no, I think it'll be a battle between Boeckman and Henton in camp for that, play some packages...sure. I think long term sitting the bench and learning for a year's going to pay off some big dividends for him.

We'll have something around 3-4 guys back as starters on offense for '09 (not counting guys like Saine who should be starting and will have plenty of PT under their belts). Will be a good year to break in a sophomore starter at QB.

He couldn't get some flashy QB so this signing is bad?

Jeeze..

Guy brought in 17 four star prospects. Stole three on signing day from two big ten programs and Florida. Brought in 4 top outside linebackers and got tons of speed on offense.

hardly a bad recruiting year for Rodriguez. Didn't even have the full year.

Pryor not going to Michigan is hardly because of Rod's rep.

Not saying that he is for sure a bad pick for coach, but to not get the one guy that is made for his offense is a bad sign.

It's one guy in his first year.

It's one guy he hasn't had a chance to recruit to his new school the entire time.

The odds were against him.

He got plenty of talent in here in his first year to make me a believer.

Does he have that QB he needs for his offense to flourish? No

Did he have it his first year at West Virginia? No.

I'm not worried about him not getting Pryor. There will be others.

Eh, LOR said the same type of things about the hiring of Tomlin last season. Mike proceeded to beat the Browns in both of their match-ups this year.

Pryor's at the OSU-Wisconsin basketball game today sitting with Coach Tressel and some 09 recruits. Apparently at half Tress took him into the locker room.

All of this is word of mouth from a buddy of mine using my tickets.

I got to agree with Wolverine on this statement. Saying that because he couldn't sign the biggest pre Madonna of this entire signing class is a really bad sign is nuts. Newsflash Lor, he still hasn't signed anywhere yet. No one can sign this guy right now, so why does it look so bad on Rodriguez? It doesn't at all.

Do you want to know who it looks bad on? Mack Brown. Pryor made comments several times that he wanted to play for Texas because he loved the way that VY played for them. Their abilities are identical and they could have used him the same way. He was the perfect player to come in and Mack didn't want to go after him because he wasn't from Texas. Rodriguez has done everything he could to sign him, and that is all you can do to some degree. It's not like he is looking at Appalation ST. over Michigan. He is considering his home state college or OSY who has basically owned Michigan for the last 5 to 6 years, so it's no big surprise that he is considering OSU over Michigan.

I heard he put on an OSU uniform and did a 360 slam at half time.

Just something I heard from a friend of my brothers, sisters friend who was once a student of a school in Ohio that was near the campus of another school that had a guy that attended OSU.
