Louisville-14 @ Rutgers-63
FWIW...The game kicks off in less than one hour...and I'm stuck in class, with 35 minutes to make a trip that'll take over 35 minutes. My last football game...I'm yey close to screaming.
On that note... Revenge factor here for Louisville...is it enough to cool down a red-hot Rutgers team looking to secure a bowl bid??

Rutgers is up 49-7 in the 3rd quarter. Teel is playing like a man possessed and threw 6 TDs so far. The other TD coming on a 31 yard run by Kenny Britt.

Rutgers started running the ball now after Teel's 431 yards. 7 of the last 8 plays were runs and they keep moving the chains

Okay they just scored again 63-7... I think they're rubbing salt in the wounds now and feel as though its not necessary. Although the starts are coming out one at a time. Only ONE drive ended in something other than a TD.

What a sensational way to end the season. A 63-14 shellacking was the ideal way to go out.
I'm telling you guys...the atmosphere there was something else, right up there with Louisville 2006 and South Florida 2007. Senior Day at the stadium...and no expense was spared. By halftime the score was 49-0, and NO ONE in the student section had left. Right on through the second half into the fourth quarter, the student section stayed strong and kept their spirit going strong...whereas in the past we've been known to die down and try to catch the early shuttle out in the event of a blowout. Major congratulations in order for Mike Teel. I am so happy for him that he was able to prove me wrong and show he can compete at a high level...especially down the stretch when it really mattered. 21/26 for 447 yards, 7 TD's, 0 INT's. He also shattered the school record for passing yards, and set the Rutgers all-time passing TD mark. He left the game in the 4th quarter to a standing ovation...and conducted the band in the school's alma mater. All in all a tremendous experience I couldn't possibly cover in a post...it would take way too long. Wish I remembered my damn camera. And fittingly...the last play I witnessed in Rutgers stadium was a Cantwell INT.
