Can the Ducks play spoiler and keep the Beavs out of the Rose Bowl?

I'm so pumped for this game, I've been waiting so long for it....

Ducks are a good team with a great rushing attack (by 3 good runners -blount, johnson and masoli) while my Beavs will probably struggle to get 75 yards on the ground rushing outside of James Rodger's fly sweeps which will probably go for a good 110-130 yards in this one.

I think we'll see Canfield playing here, with a healthy Quizz I think we see Moevao as he controls the offense much better and is not the risk Canfield is. But with no Quizz we need more options offensively which means we need Canfield arm, particualrly Canfield throwing down field to Sammie. The offense will be similar to the Arizona game where we sea lot of flysweep though I do expect Francis and McCants to get more carries, I'd like to see Francies get mre than 2 in this game and not be so predictable (as in when he's i nthe game we pass, when McCants is in we run - McCants can't pass block an Francies can catch)

I expect a great performance by the defense, even if it means they allow 20-25 points - this ducks offense is great and has only been stopped really by USC who probably has the best defense in the country. As is always the case, the team with more turnovers will lose this in my mind...I'm talking to you Masoli and Canfield

Its just terrible Quizz got hurt but I'm pleased to see Mike Riley will likely sit him as he did in the zona game despite Quizz wanting to play. Thisi s in contrast to what Bellotti did after Dixon was hurt in the ASU game and we all know what happened in the game in Tucson after Bellotti chose to play him. Hopefully Best will suck vs. UW and Quizz will still be the pac ten rushing champ.

I've got my ticket an will be driving down at 9am tommorrow and I can hardly stand it. The loudest Reser's ever been at a game I've been to was the 2006 USC win, the next best was the 2008 USC win then 2008 Cal win (though I hear the 2006 Civil War was loud) but I expect Saturday to be the loudest its ever been and did I mention I can't wait?

I've been waiting my whole life to have us go to the Rose Bowl, between this and winning the national championship (S) (we only had won 1 before baseball won back to back) all I have to do is see Beaver basketball get back into the tournamenet - wait we've lost 25 in a row to date, anyways - please beaver football please win!

Goat of the game: Jeremiah Masoli, Ducks fans already want to hang the guy so he needs to play near perfect to avoid critisism making this an easy pick.

OOOOO according to the oregonian Moevao will start. Not sure why Riley even bothered to say this (if true) as why not make the ducks prepare for both...

I feel decently confident with either that they won't be the specific reason we lose but I will say without quizz I like our chances better with Canfield as I mentioned. We need sammie in this, moevao just can't get him the ball.

It'll be interesting if we fall behind, we've really only need to come back in the PSU, Stanford and Arizona games...obivously the PSU one was out of hand while the Zona one was kinda late in the ball game. I think the true look is the stanford game, we fell behind for most of that game and had to pass the entire game...no coincidence we lost that one

No idea...that started out to be a heck of a game, Oregon just took over sometime in the second and never let off the Beavers' collective neck.

So, barring any major Big 12 upsets, this will pit USC against Penn State in the Rose Bowl. If USC somehow ends up in the NC game, would the committee still pick a Pac 10 team to play PSU?

I'm unhappy with this. I'd much rather see the Trojans play as an at large against a different opponent then the Big Ten. No disrespect to Penn St, but there will be plenty of chances in the future to face one another.
