CLE Browns interested in Gradkowski

Quote:
Earlier Monday we wrote that the Cleveland Browns were in search of a veteran quarterback.

This evening we learned the team is interested in at least one former signal caller with starting experience.

The Browns will work out former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Bruce Gradkowski Tuesday at their training facility in Berea, Ohio, agent Ralph Cindrich confirmed. Gradkowski has played in 17 career games for the Bucs before being released last May.
ESPN - Browns interested in Gradkowski - AFC North

I'm very okay with this...get'em signed, make him Brady's backup for next season, and the love of God, trade Anderson!

Bruce showed flashes, when he was rushed into service here. He's had two or three years to mature, both mentally and physically, he had a halfway decent arm, and pretty good feet. He was fresh out of college though and was no where near ready to actually get into a live action game. Wacky Gruden and his "Guru-ness"..I digress.

But you might find a solid back up for sure, and who knows.

This kid is solid, I like the idea. Sign him but let Dorsey start this week at least

He signed today as the backup.

With our luck...he's starting next week after Tennessee pummels Ken Dorsey this weekend.

Forget that......just throw him in. He has more intelligence than Dorsey. I love the idea that BG might get another chance. I have said before that I like BG and have ever since his time at Toledo. There is one who is absent now that would have had a fit that the Browns were even considering BG. In his honor, I will use the word that RD and I have used that best describes BG......MOXIE.
