CLE Brady Quinn out for the season

Quote:
There will be no more quarterback controversy in Cleveland this season.

FOXSports.com has learned that Browns quarterback Brady Quinn is done for the year after doctors revealed that the break to his right index finger has gotten worse since he's tried to play through the injury.
FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Sources: Quinn to miss rest of season

Great...

At least you got a look, no matter how short, of Quinn this season. Now, just hope for the best for Derek Anderson, who might be able to salvage some trade value if he finishes up the season well.

exactly what i was thinking. this may be a blessing in disguise for the browns if D.A. can get his crapola together.

Problem is he had trade value going into this, if he continues to play as badly as he had been (this past game not withstanding), Anderson may just go ahead and destroy what value he has left.

If he plays like he did on Sunday...we might be able to swing a first or second for him. He played relatively well, and a good percentage of his incompletions were flat out drops.

no way you get a 1st rounder in my opinion.....but he could definitely play well down the stretch and this is probably a good thing for the browns

He'll be 26 heading into next season, big armed quarterback with room to grow. Somebody's going to take a shot at him being a safer bet than a college quarterback.

He can come to Detroit, where QBs go to die
