Savage talks to fan after losing his cool in e-mail

Something doesn't sit right me with Phil Savage.. He's been kind of erratic with his public dealings..

The rant on the radio earlier this year, this thing.. It seems like he is no where to be found for press conferences after these losses. I guess last year he was always talking to the media..

I don't doubt the fan deserved it, because it was probably just some know-it-all who thinks he knows how to run a football team. But still shouldn't excuse him for doing it.

according to PFT, Savage said to the fan in the email, "Go root for Buffalo -- F*** you!"

Savage is a human being. He should have stopped opening the emails, and clicked them as spam..

atleast the e-mailer manned up and apologized for stepping over the line too.

Talk about frustration.... Wow.

I have a feeling though when the other 31 NFL GMs saw this they said to themselves "well its good to know SOMEONE has the stones to do it"

The dudes email to Savage wasnt exactly "nice" either.

I think the whole story is hilarious. The GM actually responding to some random guy? Classic! GO SAVAGE! Tell em!

i think he just gave the browns another reason to fire him .............. you just can't say stuff like that ............

Sure you can, you just have to apologize for it after the fact.

He did that.

I'll go ahead and defend him on this one. You send those types of emails to an NFL GM, you're opening yourself up to this sort of reply. Granted, not the smartest move Savage has made, but certainly understandable.

It's incredibly out of character for him as well, given that he's the same GM who runs a revival for NFL types at the Senior Bowl every year as well. One mistake doesn't a career end here I don't believe.
