Crennell calls Winslow a distraction

Quote:
BEREA, Ohio -- Calling Kellen Winslow's critical comments a distraction, Browns coach Romeo Crennel confirmed the tight end was hospitalized for a staph infection. Crennel added he may discipline the emotional Pro Bowler for his conduct following Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins

Winslow needs to shut his mouth and just play football. That's always been the case with him.

I thought the Browns did a good job in not letting the media know he had something wrong with one of his balls. Crennell was right when he said Winslow should have addressed the team, not the media if he had a problem with the team.

Reminds me of Freddie Mitchell to some degree.

3 out of 70+ doesn't sound too bad. I'm not even sure i'd lump Tony G in with those two knuckleheads.

speaking of loudmouth TE's ............ Shannon Sharpe was the worst .............. geez ............. but he was actually a good teammate

Winslow wasn't the one that wanted this covered up.. The Browns did because it was yet another staph infection.

Romeo, you're a distraction.

Yeah I still wouldn't lump Gonzalez in with Shockey and Winslow though. He's been too good for too long to hold a few disgruntled comments against him this late in his career.

I see Shockey and Winslow as glorified WR's who can block (when they want to). Winslow especially really isn't much of a true tight end, his blocking is terrible. When you look at these guys like receivers it doesn't suprise you that they have big mouths and selfish attitudes.

Shannon Sharpe was definately a loudmouth but im not sure it was always negative. He was renown for being a great locker room presence and a unifying force on his team.
