CIN Perry Number One Back; Other notes

Quote:
If the season opened now, Chris Perry would be your starting running back.
Article: News - Perry eases into top spot - Cincinnati Bengals

Perry has been one of the few bright spots so far during the preseason. It would nice to see what he could do if he can stay healthy for a full season.

Other tidbits:
The Bengals lost another receiver to injury with Marcus Maxwell having a torn muscle.

Ethan Kilmer is on IR for the second year in a row with a quadriceps injury.

Bradley Glatthar was waived with an injury settlement. I knew it was a long shot but I was really hoping my fellow Panther would have made the roster.

Jeremi Johnson's sorry fat butt will make his preseason debut Saturday. According to Bratkowski "Mr. Stay Puft" (my words) "has a long way to go."

Good news for a guy who most of us thought would be retired or on IR by this point...bully for Perry.

I have to admit Chris Perry has impressed me, a very pleasant surprise in whats turning into a nightmare of a preseason. Utecht has also come up big when he's gotten the chance.

That said, anyone else missing Eric Steinbach this morning? I know Palmer damn sure is.

Very good point. Montoya leaving was the beginning of the 'lost decade' that now appears to be ready to make it 'Two lost decades'.
