Would things have played out differently if Ricky Williams had been on Cedric Benson's boat earlier this month? The Dolphins running back thinks so, and according to Williams, he was invited to go on board.



Williams told the Austin American-Statesman for Thursday's editions that he declined an invitation from Benson to spend a Saturday on Benson's boat in Lake Travis, Texas.

Let's see Ricky Williams (A known Pothead) hanging with Ced Benson (A known Pothead) together on a boat? Both of these Texas RB's need to stay as far away from wach other as possible. Benson's reputation is slipping further and further and he's on the verge of being unemployed, while Ricky is on the verge of failing one more drug test and NEVER playing the NFL again. No surprise here though. Both of these guys have been total screw ups since they entered the league.

Man, I have heard all kinds of stories about that boat accident and surprisingly the more I've heard it sounds like Benson might have actually been a victim of abuse from the police.

However, I know that I've said this many times and all but Benson did whatever he wanted at Texas. He smoked just about everyday, and ALUMS kep this guy happy and out of trouble even when he got into it. I think that he got into the NFL and it was like culture shock for him where he actually had to wrok really hard just to be GOOD, and he had to cut out all of the dope smoking and arrogance out of the picture. No way was he going to make that big of a transformation. Now, it seems like it is all catching up to him. What a waste of a pick he was in the top 5 for chicago.

I was actually inclined to believe that the cops were being pricks about the whole thing from the moment I found out that the boat wasn't even moving when they decided to get involved.
