Discuss After bad loss, Fox highlights Carolina’s 8-3 mark

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—Carolina Panthers coach John Fox sat in front of reporters a day after an ugly loss and tried to whisk away all the concerns by continually bringing up the same thing: they’re 8-3.

Sure, they haven’t been able to stop the run for three straight weeks. Yes, they’ve been inconsistent on offense. They haven’t picked up a first down until the second quarter in each of their last two games, too.

But after getting pushed around in a 45-28 loss in Atlanta—the most points allowed in Fox’s seven seasons in Carolina—Fox downplayed any perceived problems.

their remaining road games are at green bay, the giants, and at the saints ........ they may not win any of them and finish 10-6 ............ after starting out 8-2, that wou|d be a reason for concern ..............

Last year they couldn't win @ home but played great on the road. Usually Carolina plays great at the end of the year, so I'm hoping history is something that can show hope but I'm starting to get worried after the last 3 weeks. Their running game has been going on all cylinders but they haven't been passing well lately and their D has been on the field way too much.

A loss to the NYG is one thing.

If Carolina cannot beat GB and NO on the road, enough said.

Neither of these teams has a D to mention.
