Panthers sign Walker

Not bad. If he works out, the Panthers get a sweet deal. If Walker does not make the team, they aren't on the hook for anything. It does not hurt to try this at all.

I'm sorry I realize the guy wasn't what he used to be but going from Kris Jenkins to Darwin Walker is a definite downgrade.

Not sure where he would fit in. Kemoeatu is a starter, and is a great run-stuffer. Right now, it looks like Damione Lewis would start aside him. Lewis is solid, but I imagine the Panthers are looking for a guy to rotate with him. Walker will likely be the veteran competing for that spot.

It's a downgrade yes, but it's not even certain Walker makes the roster.
