Panthers Day One Draft Grade?

What would you give the Panthers for their first two rounds as a grade?

Jeff Otah sucks and Jonathan Stewart is good but puzzling.

I don't know how good Otah is going to be but they gave up ALOT to land him. Then Stewart wasn't as big of a need, but Fox wants to get back to power running with his job on the line.

C. I don't like Otah at all and the picks they gave up to move up, but I do like the addition of Stewart if he's healthy. In all, it looks like a desperate move to save Fox and Hurney's jobs, but if it backfires, the new guys don't have much to work with next year.

I'm going to be a little generous here...B.

As much as I don't like Otah, and they gave up a lot for him, he fits what they're trying to do at left tackle. He's big enough he can represent an upgrade over Wharton there immediately, not to mention with Wharton shifting in to LG, they've got a solid left side of the line.

With Stewart, they now have the big bruiser to compliment Williams (who make no mistake, he's still the starter). They'll be running for a bunch of yards, and with a receiving corps of Steve Smith, Moose Muhammed, and Dwayne Jarrett, they've got some big guns to play ball control with the occasional over the top to Smith to loosen up defenses.

It fits...they should add another defensive end early on Day 2, but I like their direction here.

I think they should have taken Mendenhall over Stewart and they gave up a lot for Otah. So I'll go for a C-.

100% disagree with Mendenhall over Stewart. Stewart's the bigger more punishing back, he's the compliment they needed for Williams, not Mendenhall.
