Is there a trade in the works between the Vikings and Panthers? Rumor has it (and I want to know if it's being talked about in Carolina) is Chester Taylor and the 17th pick to Carolina for Julius Peppers. It's sweeping Minnesota message boards/airwaves like wildfire. I think it's wet dreams at best, spam/b.s. at worst.

Maybe I'm wrong though.....

i mean.... Derrick Burgess would be more available. The Panthers are still contenders, the Raiders aren't.

initially when I read this I thought it was the Panthers giving up the draft pick along with Peppers but when I re-read it and saw it was Taylor and a draft pick, it makes more sense .............

it would be a fair trade for both sides at least ..............

Tha Panthers are contenders? They sign a QB and a target to accent Smith that I didnt hear about?

Truth be told Peppers is probably as available as Burgess is. Furthermore he fits Minny's scheme better. Burgess doesnt play the run all that well.

Turns out it was fanboy speculation. Too bad. It's a trade that would have made sense for both teams. And filled major holes for both as well. I guess that's part of what made it so believable.

Ok, this is weird. Either this is the biggest hoax in recent memory, or there's something to this because a buddy of mine who is a Chiefs fan says they were talking about it last night on FSN and that XM has picked up the story.

Someone was probably reading Vikings message boards and took the bait. They need something to talk about at this time on those channels.

I don't really get why the Panthers would want another running back that's similar to the one they just cut in DeShaun Foster...the similarity being injuries there...
