BUF Bills riding high after fast start

Quote:
The Buffalo Bills are moving up the timetable for success.

With young players at too many key positions and playing in a division with the powerhouse New England Patriots, chances for the Bills to make some noise in the AFC appeared to be at least a year away.

That’s no longer the case.

After rallying for a 20-16 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Bills improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2003.

The bills could Easily start 5-0 but given what they have faced in that stretch I wouldn't let the record be too much cause for celebration.

Remember Mularkey managed a 9-7 with this kinda schedule. The run game is cause for concern for the Bills. Marshawn Lynch is better than 3.6 yards per carry.

normally I'd be worried about the running game... but it's not bothering me.

it's been against the 11th and 12th ranked rushing defenses from last year, and I don't think we've truly seen Jason Peters best play.

they'll at least get to where they were last year in the running game... at some point...

They need to IMPROVE the running game though. marshawn is a year older and this line has had a lot of time together. and with Jackson and Lynch the bills have a dangerous tandem that should give you 35 quality (>=4ypc) rushing attempts per game against all but the top 5 run defenses in the league.

But more importantly given Edwards prediliction towards the check-down and Jauron's conservative style the bills absolutly have to get more out of their running game if they're going to hang with the big boys this year.

I'm seeing teams absolutely commit to stopping the run against Buffalo so far though, they're challenging Edwards to beat them.

if he continues to do so, there's absolutely no reason why the running game can't be better than last year... I think the answer lies in respect for the passing game.

The problem is Edwards ISN'T going to beat them. Jauron is far too conservative, and Edwards still seems far to unwilling to trust his abilities, and that of his weapons. Which is strange because whenever he does let one go it has worked for him for the most part.

Can anyone tell me about this Fred Jackson guy? I hear that he has been splittin touches with Lynch and is being used a lot in the passing game sort of like Faulk in NE.

What is the word in Buffalo about this guy? I just put him on the back of my roster on my fantasy team.

no The bills beat a injury depleted Jaguars. Edwards at best wasn't a hinderance. but if you dont add Jackson's 75 yards after the catch he only threw for 165 yard. which is the type of performance people like you would boo JP for when the bills lost.

He's a solid #2 RB. Good Change of pace for Marshawn, and is appearently going to be Edward's saftey blanket.
