Trent Edwards

You kicked the crap out of the Seahawks this week, how'd my boy Edwards play? I've got the game recorded but wont get around to watching it for a few days. His statline looks alright. What did you guys think? I wanna see how you guys felt about him and compare it to my evaluation once I watch the game.

the light seems to be coming on.
I'm noticing a significant difference from year one to year two, it's exciting.

I will say though, the protection today was awesome... I could be getting ahead of myself.

Solid game, from what I saw. He's actually exhibiting more willingness to make plays with his arm than he did last year or in this offseason.

But the big story in this game was a greatly improved defense. 3-16 on 3rd down stops is a Marked improvement over last year when the defense seemed to lay down especially on 3rd and longs.

however this is the seahawks and they're known to be crap on the road.

Protection was good. Run blocking still left something to be desired. maybe getting Peters back will help with that.

however I wouldn't get too cocky. That was also your typical road effort out of the seahawks.

yeah, the run blocking was pretty bad.

Lynch got the majority of his yards on 3 plays, and they just didn't want to block for Jackson at all.

lynch is a 5ypc type back, he never goes down with the first tackler, the problem is he's getting hit behind the LoS ALOT. That can't be healthy for him.

Seattle is supposed to have a good defenseive front though. they're also supposed to be a bad road team. so take what you will from it. Next week is going to be a HUGE test for our team.

Jacksonville isn't injury depleted at WR and Gerrard took snaps in the preseason and has built chemisty-timing with his recievers. and Jacksonville still has a running game. if the bills revamped D can do what Tennessee did this week then the Bills are for real this season.

maybe. there were still a few plays I'm sure bills fans facepalmed. the throw-to-the-flat on 3rd and 10 edwards special right before the moorman td is a prime example why I think Trent will never be anything more than an average NFL QB.

peters is more of a pass blocker, not a run block tackle. they werent that good run blocking last yr either. actually, after yesterday, i was impressed w/ the make shift line, and the one sack edwards had, lol, kearney blew by lynch w/o any effort.

next weeks gonna be tough tho, no doubt about it, but im happy after a season opener for the first time in yrs
