The Jets did more than just add brett... The Jets and Dolphins did alot to get better this offseason, the Bills not so much. It's not unreasonable to think that the jets will win 3 or 4 more games this year than the jets won last year. and it's pretty likely that at least one of those wins come at the bills expense.

Exactly. Why is it that people keep discounting the fact that the Jets bolstered their O line a bit, and their running game should be better as well as upgrading at QB? They also added a quality backup in Chapman that ran well for Miami last year. Kris Jenkins is really healthy this year, and Coles as well. This team was just in the playoffs the year before last when Pennington and Coles were both healthy for the whole season, and guess who their RB was? Little Leon Washington as a rookie. This team has made improvements and are in a weak division with exception to the Patriots.

Jet's haven't show anything as far as running the ball but all other areas look to be better.

But why wouldn't they improve. They bolstered their O line a bit, and with the deep threat now, and also having a QB that can make plays regularly makes defenses have to drop back a bit and also resort to more zone coverages making it easier to run the ball and to use the play action.

You should know that Chapman can run the ball pretty well when his number is called. I remember him posting a few 100 yard games for the Phins last year, and don't sleep on Leon Washington. He is a play maker. For whatever reason Mangini didn't use him enough last year, but he can hit some HR plays. I'd be lining him up in the slot a lot and hitting him on screen passes as well.

Chatman had one 100 yard game last year and finished with 515 yards. Not anything to get excited about.

The Jets, for whatever reason, have not shown anything this preseason as far as running the ball. If Thomas Jones doesn't get the running game going I would not count on Washington, who never showed he was a good runner while he was at FSU, or Chatman being the answer.
