BUF Peters a no-show as Bills camp opens, fines expected

Quote:
PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills say Pro Bowl offensive lineman Jason Peters faces fines of up to $15,000 a day after missing the team's opening practice session.

Peters was not on the field Friday morning as the team began preparations in the Rochester suburb of Pittsford. Team chief operating officer Russ Brandon says fines are possible.

The team has had little contact with the left tackle in the past few months regarding his contract dispute. He was already fined $8,638 for missing the team's two mandatory minicamp practices last month.

Of all the hold outs i think Peters has the best case. He plays an essential position and is one of the best at it... this won't be cheap for the Bills. 15k a day is worth it if he gets that monster deal.

The blame for this goes directly to marv, giving Pro-Bowl contracts last years to other team's cast-offs.

Really I think Hester's holdout was the best case, because without hester the Bears have to offense. It's possible to run jauron's dink and dunk with terrible lineman, because it doesn't matter how good your blocking is if every possesion is run left, run left, pass to the right flat, punt.

It's also why we're going to let evans walk. he dosn't fit that offensive shceme at all.
