Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Tuesday he would approve of moving the start of Big 12 conference games forward as a way to build spectator interest.
The Big 12 is among the last of the Bowl Championship Series conference to begin playing league games. The Pac-10 started playing some conference games during the opening week of the season. And nearly every team in the Southeastern and Atlantic Coast conferences have already begun extensive conference action as well.
