Texasam Sherman making big changes at A&M

It's not like the Dennis Francione era was a total disaster. There were some bowl games, a couple of nice wins over Texas, and some decent moments here and there, but a 23-24 record in four seasons isn't exactly what Aggies fans had in mind.

I'm stocked about the upcoming season. While there is a major competition at QB, Stephen McGee will win the job. He's a great leader, tough and will do anything to win. He reminds me of Favre (not saying he's the same talent but his attitude on the field). Goodson will explode this season if healthy, but who wouldn't with a fullback that can weigh anywhere from 260 to 300lbs. Now that lane is a FB, dont think he won't get carries. Sonething people don't know about him is he has AMAZING hands. The man could catch a cold in a desert. I'm a little worried about the O-line. Four new starters while the one starter didn't start the entire season last year. The guy that could turn into something great though is Leroy Chevalier. A big fish tackle at 6'7" 330 lbs, he's a beast.

I also want to thank the Dallas Cowboys. A&M originally got Reggie Herring as the D Cord. but after a month he left to be a coach at the Cowboys. This got us Joe Kines from Bama. I love his attitude, just youtube him and you'll find him screaming his head off at any mistake. I swear you can hear him across campus. I like a few moves we made. Jordan Pugh is back at corner (where we recruited him) and Jordon Peterson is at saftey where I really think he'll grow into a playmaker.

I'm really excited to see what Sherman and crew will do here. It'll be a great change of pace from run, run, run, punt. O, and look out for this freshman this year. Since we have a weak WR group, freshman Jeff Fuller will turn heads. He's 6'4" with good speed. He's going to be a true freshman so I think teams won't key on him too much untill they see what he can do to them.

Ok, I can talk for days on days about Aggie football so I'll stop for now...

I hope that Texas A&M does pretty well this year as well. The Big 12 should be a pretty good conference this year with Tech having a lot of hype, and the Sherman era starting. I would like to see A&M become a power house again, but that will take a while.

Ya I'm afraid your right. Fran did not leave Sherm with alot of talent at all. Beyond the QB or RB, there are questions everywhere. Sherman has done so so much already through recruiting though. It'll take a couple years but I really think we are heading heading in the right direction with this new staff. I want to see Texas schools just rise head and tails above any other state.

This first year will be rough, but Sherman is pointing us in the right direction
