I see shades of Troy Smith/Drew Brees here. Could be an effective NFL quarterback if given the opportunity, but he'll need to perform well in the Senior Bowl next year with a pro style offense.

everyone around here (big MU country, obviously) is kind of scratching their heads trying to figure out what's been wrong with him the last 4 or 5 games, though .......... he just hasn't looked the same and everyone is still trying to figure out why ............

He'll get drafted but he'll sit on some team's bench for many many years.

This kid earned my respect last year if he has good workouts I still think he is 1st round material. His performance as of late has been less then average but I still think he can turn it around. Chase is a pure passer which is the way NFL teams are leaning these days.

You're overlooking a big minus on him though...although it's not hard to do, he's only six feet tall to begin with...

NFL teams are not going to spend a first round pick on a 6' even quarterback who plays out of the shotgun and has never run a dropback offense, just isn't going to happen man. He's got a lot to prove, especially since it takes most lifelong shotgunners a year or two to pick up the proper footwork from under center.

Not to mention, he's going to get a lot of ball knocked down dropping back from under center with his height.
