Humor Me

The Gophers are currently a 1 loss team in the Big 10... the Only loss coming to Ohio State...

They have Northwestern, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa remaining on their schedule...

Let's say they finish 11-1, defying odds and going undefeated...

Where do you put the Gophers? 11-1 isn't easy to do in the Big 10, but to be fair... the Gophers do have the convenience of skipping Michigan State and Penn State this year...

I would say that if this outcome where to happen, the gophers would be one of the worst teams ever to finish the season with 1 loss in a major conference...

I'm thinking Capitol One Bowl... meaning they would likely face an SEC foe... who would roll right over the Gophers in embarrassing fashion...

I almost hope the Gophers lose a game or two at the end here, just to put them at a ranking they are more deserving of, resulting in a much more equal matchup in a bowl...

I hope they win the rest of the way. They deserve more success and hopefully they get it.

I think you are right on.. Minnesota is a nice story, but they are not a 11-1 team. They avoid Penn State, MSU and get Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa in down years.. They might actually regress in record next year, despite getting better talent-wise.

Well hey...these past few years the SEC was supposed to roll over the Big Ten, but hey Michigan and Wisconsin had something to say about that.

Down year for the Hawks? The losses we sustained this year were due to yet another new QB taking over….and he is much better than Jake. Couple that with a much better ground game and much stouter defense and it’s safe to say the season isn’t over yet.

Well, Iowa has been 2-1 vs the SEC over the past few years as well.

Yeah Iowa is usually a lot better, don't you agree? I didn't mean it as a slight towards Iowa cause I know they are getting better each week.. But they are usually a tougher team from the get-go.

Yes, they are usually tougher from the get-go, but it's early yet.

The only reason it's hard to go undefeated in the Big 10 is that none of the teams are good enough to go undefeated.

There's only two other BCS teams that are undefeated right now and there's a good chance they both take loses. So I don't understand that comment either.
