Michigan Athletic Director Bill Martin called the worldwide leader to complain.

Another question: What was ESPN thinking in not suspending Holtz?

I don't know that he should lose his job for this. He made a very poor judgment as to who to compare him to. Totally agree with you there. He has apologized though, and I highly doubt that Holtz would do that just to take a hard cheap shot at Michigan on that type of level.

If he should be fired, it should be because he really isn't that good of an analyst, and because he has the worst voice of any analyst I've ever heard. Not because of one mistake where he made a bad comparison that I'm sure he understands was unacceptable.

He should be off the air for the combination of both. He should be suspended though. ESPN suspended Jemelle Hill for a comment about Hitler in one of her Page2 articles. You set a precedent ESPN, you should follow it.
