Raiden can chip in here as well, but he and I went to the OSU spring game, and here are some of my thoughts. We sat in the front row of the AA deck. For those that don't know the stadium, that's where the band sits in the south endzone.
First let's start with some pictures: ![]() Jim Tressel ![]() Terrelle Pryor A few stories about both. My girlfriend had a field pass because she was hosting the recruits. Pryor did his best not to draw attention to himself, but it's kind of hard when there are cameras chasing you everywhere. He told my girlfriend he wanted to have a good time and lay low today. He didn't want to get swarmed by the media. She also got to meet and shake hands with Jim Tressel. He introduced himself to her while she was walking with the recruits. Almost the entire 08 class was there (She's got a list...not sure if I'd get her in trouble by publishing it online so I won't). The most notable 09 guy I saw was Melvin Fellows as well as a contingent of Florida kids. Now onto the game: Antonio Henton didn't look to good. He played almost the entire game (switched sides at halftime). It rained all game, so no quarterback looked all that great. Boeckman looked great on the underneath routes and had one deep ball, but not spectacular. Joe Bauserman, as of right now, should be the #2 QB. He was very consistent, and I think his favorite target, Taurien Washington, established himself as the 3rd receiver. He catches EVERYTHING and can stretch the field. That's about all I've got. Except for the whole, walking on the field, talking to some players, and just getting soaked.

'Twas a good time. And your girlfriend...dude...lucky... Annnnnnnnyways, as for the game itself...I pretty much concur with Pete's observations on just about everything there. A few things to add...Raiden list style of course... -I think Bauserman looked good today. Like Pete said, he definitely established himself as the number two guy, and I personally think he could be pushing Boeckman come fall myself. He's more consistent and made fewer mistakes. -As for Boeckman...he's gotta get better in the face of the rush, he gets happy feet waaaay too often (especially today in what was supposed to be a non-contact day for him...didn't end up being that way, but that's beside the point). The first pick he threw was a direct result of him not stepping into a throw and altering his arm motion to avoid getting hit. The second was a bad read with a hiding linebacker...great play by Homan though, he was all over the field. -Speaking of defense...Lawrence Wilson looked BEASTLY today...he's back and he's ready to make us all say Vernon who by year's end I think. -I think Ross Homan is going to step up this year and take some PT away from the others at linebacker. He's going to be starting for us in 2009, I'm calling that right now. That's about all I got for now...great experience going to my first spring game (yes, I am a fifth year senior...so sue me...) And of course...Go Bucks! -RD

Well it's pretty obvious that the top 2 receivers are going to be Robiskie and Hartline, but after that I think it'll be a scrum between Sanzenbacher, Washington, Posey, and Stoneburner. Right now I'd give the edge to Washington because he provides a different skill set than the other two, but it'll be hard to keep almost any of those guys off the field at some time in the game.

How come Terrelle Pryor wasn't playing? Are freshmen not allowed to play because they aren't enrolled yet or something like that?
